The two stunning Ohrid and Prespa lake sit high in this mountain range, with Prespa Lake at 850 meters and Ohrid Lake at 693 meters, and both are visible from the top of Galicica Mountain. It was designated as a protected region in 1958. Containing more than 130 different species of trees and bushes Galicica is one of the Europe's richest national parks in terms of flora.
