The Church of Saint Clement of Ohrid is considered as one of the most beautiful in Macedonia because of its splendid architectural style and outstandng decoration.
The construction of the Orthodox Cathedral church began in 1972 and was sacred on the 12th of August in 1990, on the 1150th anniversary of the birth of the church patron, St. Clement of Ohrid. Inside the church you will find beautiful iconostasis composed of perfectly painted icons as well as many magnificent frescoes. What is interesting about this church is the fact that for the first time in the world, Jesus Christ is painted on a surface of 70 square meters, with about 1.5 meters eye diameter. The church is not only beautiful inside but outside also, as there is a spacious area with modern fountain and many desks as well as varios plants that fulfil the whole place with harmony and freshness.
