Having 365 churches, so one church per every day of the year, Ohrid is also called the Jerusalem of the Balkans. You will have a unique opportunity to visit the most representative churches with unique Byzantine architecture and Medieval collections of frescoes from the 11th, 12th and the 13th century. You will also discover why Ohrid is the home of Slavic literature and visit the place where St. Clement created the Cyrillic alphabet and the first Slavic university. The walk through the streets of the old town will give you the opportunity to enjoy the most amazing sights of Ohrid Lake, the oldest and one of the deepest lakes in Europe. Also, you will have the opportunity to try some of the lake endemic fishes in the local restaurants and enjoy the tasty national cuisine and our traditional drink Rakija.
