We are going to start our adventure where the Ottoman era of Thessaloniki began! Through the alleys of Ano Poli, we find out the Anatolian influence on the city and the elements it has left behind. Discover the pieces of the mosaic of Thessaloniki, which was made up of Turks, Jews and Greeks. All the peoples offered something important, for this reason Thessaloniki is an amazing example of symbiosis. Monasteries and refugee neighborhoods are the identity of Thessaloniki, along with its Byzantine walls and Roman monuments. Don't worry we are not going to talk only about history! As a university student I like talking about everyday life here and the most fun things to do as well! So bring with you comfortable walking shoes, curiosity, and an open mind! Better to book during sunset for amazing photos! All in all the tour will include 6 major stops, if you want to add more or personalise the tour such as going inside a traditional house, or learning how to make Greek coffee, let me know!
