The gallery is situated within the museum complex of the Church of St. Mary Perivlepta in Ohrid. Here you will find many icons that originate from different periods and about 30 of them are known as exquisite masterpieces that impress every single visitor. The two oldest icons which are preserved are: St. Basil the Great and Saint Nicholas as well as the icon of The Forty Holy Martyrs. It is believed that both of them are painted in the first half of the 11th century. Also, there are many icons which originate from the 13th century and the most popular of them is the icon of Jesus Christ.
